Law enforcement is looking to a weekend attack on fighter Rachael Ostovich.

The Honolulu Police Department has started a second-degree assault investigation related to an incident that occurred early Sunday afternoon involving “a man suspect and a female sufferer,” spokesperson Sarah Yoro told MMA Fighting on Monday. The suspect per Yoro and victim were arguing prior to the alleged assault.

The attack occurred at 2 a.m. Sunday morning in a residence at the Waianae section of Honolulu County, Yoro explained. No arrest has been made. Second-degree assault is a felony at Hawaii.

Honolulu PD does not release the names of those involved in alleged crimes. But sources told MMA Fighting the female victim in question is Ostovich and the man suspect is allegedly.

Ostovich, a flyweight and alum of The Ultimate Fighter 27, has been scheduled to fight Paige VanZant about the ’s + debut card Jan. 19 at Brooklyn. Sources said Ostovich (4-4) is from the struggle and the is currently seeking a substitute for battle VanZant on the card.
