Kylian Mbappe says Paris Saint-Germain has to grow ahead of dreaming about a Champions League trophy.
Qatari Sport Investment bought the French team \2011 despite having an outlay of only under a # 1bn over the previous eight seasons, nevertheless, with a view to Europe they’re yet to progress beyond the Champions League’s past eight.
The club ‘s signing at # 166m from Monaco, mbappe, believes PSG are making progress in their mission to win soccer’s elite competition, but thinks there is still room for progress.
“I believe PSG is a club that has increased since the arrival of the new owners,” the 19-year-old informed ESPN FC.
“It has not stopped growing and we need to grow with the club before immediately considering the Champions League final and winning the contest.
“There are steps before getting there and we’re totally conscientious of the fact that we, the players, need to keep developing with all the club — both things and everybody together.
“We will find out where we go but I think that we, at a minute, want to win the Champions League.”
PSG are in Champions League Group C, behind leaders Napoli and Liverpool. They play the Merseyside club at travel and home to Red Star Belgrade in their matches.
