The back-to-back defending European champions Norway have revealed they are in great form only before their effort to defend their title in the EHF EURO 2018, winning the second leg of the Golden League 2018/19 with a perfect record against their three competitions. The nations contesting the Golden League — Norway, Denmark and France — were joined by invited nation Hungary for the November leg, played in Norway since the Møbelringen Cup.
Norway appreciated three positive wins over their opponents in the event played from November 22 to 25, starting with a 25:19 success versus Hungary on day one. In the other game on the opening day, world champions France beat against Denmark 22:20, in a low-scoring battle — but it was not the lowest scoring game of the Cup.
The battle between Norway and France — a rematch of the 2017 World Championship final — to pick the name saw a two-goal triumph, 23:21, for the Scandinavian hosts. It was the most goals France had allowed any opponent to score showing the standard of their famed defence.
