Presov need a triumph and hope for a miracle in Silkeborg

Tatran Presov will go into their last group phase round in the VELUX under critical to triumph and will still hope for result in their favour in Silkeborg to stand a chance of linking Sporting CP since the previous group from the groups C/D to reserve a spot at the February konck-out round. There’s loads of activity round Group C, while only 1 game left to play in Group D at Leon.

Besiktas Mogaz (TUR) vs Chekhovskie Medvedi (RUS)
Saturday 1 December, 16:00 hrs local time, reside on ehfTV
•    Immediate battle for the fourth spot in Group C
•    Besiktas won in Russia 24:22 with Ramazan Done scoring two goals in the opposite fixture
•    The overall head-to-head reads three wins for Besiktas and 2 wins for Vladimir Maximov side

Tatran Presov (SVK) vs HC Metalurg (MKD)
Saturday 1 December, 19:30 hrs local time, reside on ehfTV
•    Tatran need to win and hope for Sporting triumph in Silkeborg to stand a chance of play-off berth
•    Tatran made it past the group phase only on their first of seven looks in 2004/05
•    Metalurg playing for pleasure, will look to level the head-to-head, now reading 2-0-1 for the hosts
•    Presov won at the reverse fixture at Skope 29:24, Ante Babic scoring six goals
•    Slovakian side will aim to hugely enhance after their blow up in Chekhov last week

Bjerrinbro-Silkeborg (DEN) vs Sporting CP (POR)
Sunday 2 December, 16:50 hrs local time, reside on ehfTV
•    A draw is enough for Bjerringbro to procure the play-off spot, Sporting are already through
•    A triumph for hosts means, both teams are all through; a triumph for Sporting CP and Presov win imply Presov are through due to the superior head-to-head of Slovakians against Bjerringbro
•    Bjerringbro-Silkeborg won the reverse fixture at Lisbon 35:32 and consequently would top the group using a draw
 

GROUP D
Abanca Ademar Leon (ESP) vs Elverum (NOR)
Saturday 1 December, 20:00 hrs local time, reside on ehfTV
•    only pride to play in the final Group D game after Plock and Bucharest booked both play-off places, but the result will have an impact on who finishes first in the group – Dinamo or even Plock
•    Elverum will draw level with the best two on 14 points with a win, but head-to-head records imply they Cannot go through
•    Although Leon attained the play-offs last season, they could conquer their 2017/18 points total of 12 having a hit on Saturday, while Elverum have enjoyed their most Prosperous season with 12 points
•    Elverum won September’s reverse fixture at 30:25
