Former Spain striker David Villa is to join Western top-flight club Vissel Kobe.
Villa will link-up with former Barcelona team-mate Andres Iniesta and ex-Germany forward Lukas Podolski.
Together with Spain, he won the 2008 European Championship and the 2010 World Cup.
Villa, who said on Wednesday he’ll leave New York on 31 December when his contract expires, announced his transfer to Kobe on YouTube.

Beginning his career at Sporting Gijon, he joined Real Zaragoza after which Valencia, prior to a £34m move into Barcelona at 2010, where he won the Spanish league double and the Champions League.
He left Atletico Madrid at 2013, assisting them win La Liga for the first time since 1996.
