Jesse Ronson will not be making his return this weekend.

The 32-year-old Ontario native was scheduled to replace John Makdessi from Diego Ferreira this Saturday at UFC 231 in Toronto, but it seems that the short-notice call-up (that was reported only last Tuesday) could have abandoned Ronson ill-prepared to reduce weight for the 155-pound affair.

“Regrettably, my fight this Saturday at [ 231] is off,” Ronson wrote. “I had been too heavy to safely make the weight and perform, so that they pulled it. Finally, better for my health, but shitty I dropped my deal. ”

Ronson (19-8) included that he could wind up fighting Montreal’s TKO Major League MMA marketing next, or possibly head over to Asia to register with or ONE Championship.

“Who knows at the moment? ” he composed. “I’m gutted and want to apologize to everybody at the and all those who supported me. ”

This would happen to be Ronson’s run with the . He originally signed with the advertising back in September 2013, but failed to pick up a win in three Octagon appearances before being published. He fought Kevin Lee, Francisco Trinaldo, and Michel Prazeres, dropping to three by split decision.

“The Body Snatcher” then proceeded 6-3 competing in and the United Arab Emirates before signing on for the short-notice opportunity at 231.
