Worcester Warriors scrum half Michael Heaney has signed up a new contract with the Premiership club.
Belfast-born Heaney, 28, combined in July from Doncaster, where he’d three seasons later moving from Ulster, double making the Championship play offs.
After three Premiership appearances, two off the bench, he is yet to figure on a championships winning group.
“He’s a first class bloke along with an excellent team man and will no doubt continue to make a constructive contribution moving ahead.”
Heaney, that had been arrived initially on a deal but he’s impressed, having made five cup appearances – and only once been on the side.
His only Premiership beginning was once he deputised for the wounded Francois Hougaard at Gloucester in November.
“I’ve learnt alot by the coaches as well as one other scrum-halves at the club since I came,” he explained.
