Even the production-based series has as yet always maintained two races per weekend, but the choice to sponsor the opener on Saturday from the 20-16 season onwards has turned into unpopular.
Former WSBK champion Hodgson was one of individuals to criticise the format, saying it had been boring for spectators.
“The whole thing of rushing on Saturday is awkward, when you’r e at an event,” Hodgson told Motorsport.com earlier this past year.
WSBK has reacted by introducing a race into the schedule, which can soon be called that the issot race’, to be held on Sunday before the moment race that was traditional.
This is going to be a sprint event awarding points into the top nine finishers.
The points system will soon be in place for Saturday’s Race 1 and the finale on Sunday.

The top nine finishers from the sprint event will form the initial 3 rows of this Hurry 2 grid, with the remaining portion of the grid, from 10th onwards, depending upon Saturday’s’regular’ qualifying session.
The number of clinic sessions has been cut together with just two taking place on Friday and one on Saturday.
