PHOENIX — the town council has postponed a vote for a proposed $230 million renovation of this Talking Stick Resort Arena that would maintain the Suns in downtown Phoenix.
The authorities agreed unanimously Wednesday to postpone decision until Jan. 2 3 so residents may attend five public meetings to be held approximately Phoenix to discuss the job.
President and CEO Jason Rowley said the organization looks forward to answering any questions about the renovation and to people discussions.
The deal would revamp the earliest in the NBA that’s not being renovated, the not quite 30-year-old stadium.
The agreement included a provision to select out in 30 years, although the Suns agreed in 1992 to a 40-year rental.
