Renato Moicano is wasting no time.
Days later serving as a copy fighter at UFC 231 at Toronto, the featherweight competition is now predicted to handle former 145-pound winner Jose Aldo in the co-main event of UFC Fortaleza on Feb. two, sources told MMA Fighting following a written report by MMAjunkie.
Aldo continue fought July, improving to 27-4 in MMA with a first-round knockout victory over Jeremy Stephens. The Nova Uniao fighter, that lost three of his previous spells, completed by Max Holloway (double ) and Conor McGregor, scored his first stoppage win since 2013 against Stephens.
Moicano (13-1-1) enters the competition coming off backtoback victories over Cub Swanson, a first-round submission in August, and also a decision against Calvin Kattar in ancient 2018. The American Top Team ability, that suffered his only loss in MMA into Brian Ortega at 20 17, was expected to face Mirsad Bektic at UFC 231 until Bektic pulled outside of their card using a personal accident.
UFC Fortaleza takes place at the Centro de Formacao Olimpica at Fortaleza, Brazil, and is headlined by a five-round rematch between Raphael Assuncao along with Marlon Moraes. The event was originally expected to contain Demian Maia vs. Lyman Great from the co-headliner.
