Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has condemned”discrimination in any sort” following the alleged racist abuse of Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling.
Chelsea and the Metropolitan Police have been investigating the allegations which occurred during the Blues’ 2-0 win.
The London club has suspended four fans while the evaluation occurs.
Sterling has said papers are assisting “fuel racism” because of the way they depict young black footballers.
Chelsea winger Ruben Loftus Cheek supported his England team mate, saying:”I think he was right to state what he explained. I actually don’t think that it ought to be anywhere in the match.
“Him speaking out has been the ideal thing. In case it happened to me I’d do precisely exactly the same”
Loftus Cheek, who said he’d experienced racial abuse off the pitch but not during a match, added:”When episodes do come such as this we need to take a tough response on it. It’s something players have spoke about, especially me growing up being a player”
