The showdown between Ben Askren and Robbie Lawler has a new home at UFC 235 on March 2 in Las Vegas.

The bout, that serves as Askren’s UFC debut, was originally scheduled for Jan. 26 at UFC 233 but that card was cancelled earlier this week on account of this shortage of a most important event.

The UFC has opted to move the high-profile welterweight fight with the show set to take place at the t mobile Arena in Las Vegas instead to UFC 235.

Askren is poised to get his UFC debut following a trade that attracted him for former flyweight winner Demetrious Johnson after years spent dominating promotions like Bellator plus one Championship.

The former NCAA champion wrestler has been retold in his career and has been coveted as a potential addition.

Currently Askren has finally arrived but he’ll have a tough evaluation in his hands having a former winner in Lawler, who will return to activity for the first time since 2017 when he dropped Rafael dos Anjos while also simultaneously enduring a torn ACL in his knee.
