Michael Chandler has been waiting a while to secure his hands.
It’s been almost 18 months since Chandler fell as a result of some freak leg injury to Primus that stopped their very first fight back 2017. On various events, the re match has been discussed since that moment but the fight never came officially prior to now.
On Friday in Hawaii as a portion of a two-night, two event Bellator MMA display, Chandler can find the possibility to avenge his loss that is prior to Primus from the five round main function.
Well according to Chandler, that’s assuming Primus turns up this moment.
“It’s one of those things I’rsquo & we haven surprised;t learned from him. I’m exceptionally happy to have perhaps not heard anything out of him. The fight has not begun. I & rsquo; m praying to God that he & rsquo; s still able to make the journey to the cage, until this fight starts.
“It’SA hard when you’re a part time fighter to muster up the finances to afford a Hawaiian vacation. Therefore now Bellator and myself are giving him that I presume he’s going to take that opportunity and then he ’so moving to show up. ”
Chandler never passed up a opportunity to take a dig at Primus after the rematch scheduled or between them has been rumored several times over the past year 5 it hasn’t happened.
It might seem like Chandler is thirsty for vengeance thinking of the way their very first fight ended but rsquo & he;s not obsessed with retribution.
The way his record says he comes with a loss to Primus in 20 17 but he knows deep down in that it wasn’t a beat from the truest sense of the word.
That’s truly the one thing negative about any of it because you see that a loss and also can look at my album and visit that a TKO close to it plus it doesn&rsquo. It doesn’t tell the story of the battle that happened that night. That’s the regrettable part,” Chandler said.
“It’s one of those scenarios where I don’t feel as that I lost. I wasn’t t beaten. I wasn’t outperformed. I wasn’t outside worked. I was the winner at night because I landed a punch that knocked him down and then told everyone that I wanted to cut off my leg [to keep going]. For me, I expect to run it straight back . I only pray and you will see physiological harm inflicted quite definitely so in his leadership. ”
If it comes time to chat in what Primus does lacks or well in his mixed martial arts arsenal that is overall, Chandler states that he really doesn’t know exactly what to expect out from the reigning Bellator winner.
All of Chandler will do will prepare to battle with Primus on Friday and also get himself ready to the best of their abilities.
“Eight fights while within the previous decade there’s maybe not much to say regarding his career that it’s more usually than notmuch of a career. We’ve ever. Since we fought , I’t had two wins.
“I admire that I have a job to complete and that I have yet still another individual in front of me and it happens to be him. ”
Just as it might seem just like the Bellator light weight name adds an element to this particular fight, Chandler downplays that as part of his motivation.
At this stage of his career, Chandler says his objective is to participate from the biggest fights possible therefore the name is just a bonus at the end of the night time but with a wonderful performance is he’s really stressed about.
“The belt is a thing. The belt is a thing,&rdquo. “I would like to go around and put on performances and also inspire people and get them pumped up on life and fired up. Freak loss, rsquo & this; s another top notch in my narrative, In case they can watch me put after coming back out of this freak injury. That’s another chapter in my own story.
“I could care less about him , the tournament, about the belt, any such thing. I only want to go out there and perform. ”
Chandler doesn & rsquo; t mince words when it takes time for you to how he believes this fight will end as far as there goes a prediction.
He wishes to leave no question in anyone ’s mind who’s the fighter when it comes against Brent Primus to him.
“KO, & rdquo rounds; when asked for a prediction, Chandler stated without stripping. “a KO, Not a TKO. ”
