Former UFC featherweight king Jose Aldo yields to face Renato Moicano.

UFC officers announced that the bout . It’ll be part of this UFC’s second foray on ESPN+ in 2019, which features a headlining rematch between Marlon Moraes along with contenders Raphael Assuncao.

Aldo (27-4) will be making his first start at more than half a year when he steps into the cage contrary a fellow Brazilian in front of their home country crowd.

After years of dominance, Aldo went losing the UFC featherweight title rebounding back with a triumph over Frankie Edgar, but losing back to back bouts within a six-month span, all to winner Max Holloway. 

As he is coming out of a first-round conclusion of heavy-handed Jeremy Stephens on FOX 30 in July at UFC against Moicano he expects to create momentum for yet another title run.

Moicano shouldn’t be an easy path back to title contention, however, as he is on of the hottest properties in the 145-pound burden class. 

Outside of a loss to Brian Ortega at UFC 214 yr, Moicano has won his bouts in the Octagon all on the way to a 13-1-1 record all around.
