MINNEAPOLIS — Miami Dolphins running Frank Gore has been ruled out of Sunday’s match at the Vikings after suffering a left ankle injury.

Gore, 35, has been tackled to some 10-yard run late in the first quarter. He struggled to get into the sidelines together with help from trainers and eventually was carted back into the lockerroom.

Gore is among many NFL iron men. Far the greatest in the league started him 122 consecutive matches. Tied for 2nd will be Christian McCaffrey along with Peyton Barber together with 17.

Rookie running Kalen Ballage picked up the vast majority of Gore’s workload after the veteran left this match. Ballage chose the first snap of the second half 75 yards his first of this season.

Dolphins trainer Adam Gase has leaned on Gore because their trustworthy and consistent lead back once again to help keep the offense dancing.
