It came a year on the day after Crawford concussion, which sidelined him.
“Of course we’re concerned,” Blackhawks coach Jeremy Colliton explained.

Backup goaltender Cam Ward relieved Crawford on Sunday. Ward, the longtime Carolina Hurricanes starter, has been signed in free service to a one-year, $3 million agreement. He allowed five goals on 35 shots Sunday since the Blackhawks gave up five unanswered goals for its loss and wasted a 2-0 lead.
Crawford’s contract, which carries a $6 million cap hit, expires at the close of next season.
“Crow is this a significant part of our team,” defenseman Connor Murphy explained. “to get rid of him is bad. You just feel for him. In a game such as that where there were parts where our goalie is hung out to dry, and then in order for them to shoot men flying on him isn’t fair “
