It came a year on the day after Crawford concussion, which sidelined him.

“Of course we’re concerned,” Blackhawks coach Jeremy Colliton explained.

Colliton, in addition to that the Blackhawks players made available following the game, said they’d not yet talked with Crawford, who will enter the concussion protocol of the league.

“Good goaltender, good guy, an important part of the team,” Colliton explained. “We expect a fast recovery.”

Crawford exited late at the initial stage, as San Jose winger Evander Kane and Blackhawks center Dylan Strome slipped toward the net. Crawford struck on this post and took the brunt of this impact from Strome. Kane received a penalty for interference.

Strome called it a”baseball perform” and said he did not consider the contact from Kane to be intentional.

Whilst working with concussion signs Even the Crawford, who has won three Stanley Cups missed the 4-7 games last season. He didn’t make his debut this past season introduction before Oct. 18.

Crawford was vague about what exactly he suffered while still being sidelined. After he came back to action in October, he told reporters:”It seems good to be back to myself. I am feeling clear.”

In 22 games this season, Crawford is currently 6-14-2 having a .903 save percentage and a 3.23 goals-against average.

“He has been great,” defenseman Duncan Keith explained. “I think he has been every thing we could ask of him. We definitely do not offer our goalies out much support there.”

Chicago entered Sunday’s game in 10-18-6, the second-worst record at the NHL. The Blackhawks defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday night to snap an eight-game losing streak.

Backup goaltender Cam Ward relieved Crawford on Sunday. Ward, the longtime Carolina Hurricanes starter, has been signed in free service to a one-year, $3 million agreement. He allowed five goals on 35 shots Sunday since the Blackhawks gave up five unanswered goals for its loss and wasted a 2-0 lead.

Crawford’s contract, which carries a $6 million cap hit, expires at the close of next season.

“Crow is this a significant part of our team,” defenseman Connor Murphy explained. “to get rid of him is bad. You just feel for him. In a game such as that where there were parts where our goalie is hung out to dry, and then in order for them to shoot men flying on him isn’t fair “
