NEWARK, N.J. — The New Jersey Devils have placed goaltender Cory Schneider on injured reserve with a stomach strain.

The Devils announced the harm Monday and recalled goaltender Mackenzie Black-wood from Binghamton (AHL).

Schneider, who lost his starting job to Keith Kinkaid last season, has struggled this season after offseason surgery on left cool in May. He’s got a 0-5-1 list using a 4.29 goals-against average and also a .862 save percentage.

After giving up three goals against Vegas schneider was raised in his last beginning. The 32-year-old goalie is running beneath a $42 million contract.
