Australia won a Test match for the first time since March’s ball-tampering controversy since they beat India at Perth to level the series.
Chasing 287 for success, india, began on 112-5 but were bowled out to reduce by 146 runs.
Australia wanted only 15 overs to wrap up the triumph – Tim Paine’s first since success Steve Smith as captain.
“it is a relief more than anything,” said Paine. “It has taken a while with every thing that’s happened”
The Test in the four-match series takes place at Melbourne, beginning on Boxing Day.
Kohli plays down Paine battle
