Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren says that Jurgen Klopp’s side can move unbeaten for the rest of the Premier League season and match Arsenal’s’Invincibles’ side from 2004.

Liverpool would be the only unbeaten side in the top flight after Manchester City were beaten at Chelsea and also lead the table by one point.

“Hopefully we are unbeaten until the conclusion of the growing season,” said Lovren. “That is why we found Liverpool.

“Arsenal did it before so why not?”

Liverpool have not won the title since 1990 but move into the Christmas period in addition to beating rivals Manchester United at Anfield last weekend.

“Obviously it’ll be challenging but this is exactly what we desire,” Lovren added. “We know that we can do it”
