Allen has looked improved and ready at clinic this past week.
Running back Melvin Gordon, who has missed the past 3 games with an MCL injury, also is expected to play with a source said.
Gordon was almost ready to proceed against the Chiefs but said that week he is targeting a return against the Ravens.
“I really don’t want to arrive at the playoffs and become rusty,” Gordon said. “I know Baltimore includes a real good defense. It would have [been] good to hop back and knock some rust off against the Chiefs, but it is a challenge to come back knock some rust off against a few of the best defenses in the league.
“It will be all right. I think the boys in advance will do it for me personally, but it’s going to become a pleasant setting out there because we are searching for something and they are searching for something”
The Chargers continue to be in the hunt to secure the AFC West, while the Ravens are clinging into a wild card spot.
The Chargers still have doubt regarding running Austin Ekeler, who’s coming off a concussion. Ekeler is improving but the team is uncertain if it’s going to probably be enough to make it back for Saturday night.
