Gloucestershire all rounder Jack Taylor says he is”excited” to bowl again but admits that a 3rd suspension for an illegal action took a physical toll.

The 27-year-old has been cleared to resume bowling after having a one-piece ban prevented him during 2018.

TaylorMade only 1 County Championship score over 50 with the bat – 112 against Glamorgan.

“Being scrutinised repeatedly again took its toll on me mentally and I have faced some very low points,” he said.

Taylor served shorter bans at 2013 and 2016 and has turned from off-spin to legspin to decide to make an effort to fix the problem.

“Making the choice to start bowling legspin has given me a brand new lease of life and I will be excited to bowl again. I’m anticipating the task of competing with the ball “

Taylor, who last month signed a new deal with the county to conduct until 2021, failed testing at November at the National Cricket Performance Centre at Loughborough.

Regulations state that the elbow joint mustn’t straighten by over 15 degrees within a bowler’s delivery.
