Raikkonen had a more popular season in 2018 than the past few decades, taking pole position in Italy and also a triumph in the United States, also remains perhaps one of the very popular drivers on the grid.
Wolff consequently thinks f 1 will suffer from not having him in front-running machines.
“I feel it alters alot for f-1 that Kimi is not in Ferrari anymore at an automobile that is equipped to win races,” said Wolff, in an interview with social networking including Motorsport.com.
“He is a strong personality. He is one of those very few folks in this time, with sociable networking and the self getting out of hands, that stays true to himself.
“He’s his worth and stays true to his worth, and he is authentic. That is what the fans love. Thus Kimi maybe not at a Ferrari is actually just a blow for all people.
“However, at least he is perhaps not from it completely. He is at Sauber also it really is shame , with Fernando [Alonso] moving completely and Kimi shifting from Ferrari into Sauber, we’re losing two incredible personalities in some way. Kimi along with Ferrari like a mix was captivating “
Even though Sauber is an aggressive measure down to Raikkonen, Wolff is convinced that the 2007 world winner has done the perfect thing in choosing to stay on in f 1.
“Kimi says he is coming to enjoy things with Sauber, nevertheless the Sauber was considered a best of the others car,” explained Wolff.
“It’s also just 40 minutes from home, so he is ready to stay at home. I do believe with Fred [Vasseur, team boss] they’ve a racers group that is coming and a solid association with Ferrari, therefore why would he not carry on to accomplish exactly what he loves doing?
“We’re too much pressured about everything if he perform : should he leave f 1 as it is not a winning car anymore? But now we are all here to be joyful and many of us are here to enjoy ourselves, also when driving is something that he truly likes then he is best to check out his passion”
