NEW YORK — Zion Williamson‘s very first match at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night left the star Duke freshman thinking about playing a few more.

And given that the nyc Knicks are among the worst teams in the NBA this season, Williamson — and fellow Duke freshmen RJ Barrett along with Cam Reddish — could be available to be selected to play with his home games at MSG year.

“It was astounding,” Barrett said of their experience. “Electric audience”

Williamson fouled out together with under four minutes to move on his third charge of the match, but he ended with 17 points and 13 rebounds in 25 minutes before a number of NBA executives, for example Knicks president Steve Mills.

“That really is the Garden,” Williamson explained. “Plenty of greats have come . My preferred amazing to encounter here has been probably Bernard King because my stepdad talked about him alot he just place the ball in the basket. … I had to see his or her highlights. He could score the basketball. He was phenomenal how he did it.

“Playing 41 matches wouldn’t be so bad.”

Barrett struggled shooting the ballfinishing 7-for-22 from the area and 0-for-7 out of 3-point selection. But he ended with 16 points and scored eight straight Duke points mid way through the second half when Tech has been extending the lead.

“It’s trendy,” Barrett explained. “You grow up watching those teams play TV, today you have to take the lockerroom. … It’s a wonderful experience.”

Reddish played just 20 minutes, scoring eight points and committing six turnovers. He’d hit on an crucial 3 pointer using 2:41 remaining, and then helped ice the game with two free throws inside the final minute.
