Newyork — San Jose Sharks defenseman Erik Karlsson Is suspended two games to get an illegal test to the mind of Los Angeles Kings ahead Austin Wagner.

The NHL’s section of player safety announced the nice Sunday.

San Jose’s Erik Karlsson was suspended for two matches to get the illegal test to the mind on LosAngeles’ Austin Wagner.

The incident happened early in the next phase of the Kings’ 3-2 overtime win over the Sharks on Saturday. Wagner abandoned the match after getting disassembled by Karlsson on a hard hit near ice. After getting back on his toes, Wagner’s legs came out of him.

Karlsson, who has points in eight consecutive matches, has two goals and 24 assists this season for San Jose.

Karlsson, who combined the Sharks in an offseason trade with Ottawa, will miss matches against the Ducks and Oilers following the break break. He’ll reunite on New Year’s Eve against Calgary.
