Certainly one among MMA’s ugliest feuds just got a little uglier.
It came as no surprise when Daniel Cormier was clearly one of those first fighters to comment on the news that UFC 232 would be transferred from Las Vegas to Los Angeles in the wake of the Nevada State Athletic Commission refusing to permit Jon Jones for Saturday’s previously scheduled light heavyweight championship main event opposite alexander-gustafsson . After discovering a drug test abnormality in one of Jones’s recent urine samples, the NSAC ruled he will need to appear before a committee in January to figure out when he will soon be allowed to compete at the state of Nevada again.
Cormier initially tweeted “He studied positive again! ” in a reaction to the headlines, that broke Sunday, and later followed with a post on interpersonal media by which he called the USADA, UFC Vicepresident of athlete health insurance and performance Jeff Novitzky, California State Athletic Commission executive officer Andy Foster (for announcing Jones for a “blank athlete” later after analyzing him this weekend), and Jones himself to get downplaying the quantity of the banned substance that was detected within his next drug test failure.
“Bones” chose to Insta-gram to provide a since-deleted answer to Cormier in which he amuses his rival who he’s twice bested in UFC light heavyweight title conflicts (their next assembly at UFC 2-14 , originally a third-round playoff triumph for Jones, was overturned to some No Contest following Jones tested positive for banned substances) with reference Cormier’s wife:
“I could slap your wife on the ass and you might literally do nothing about this,” Jones wrote. “You& & rsquo;re my bitch DC, that will never change. Funny the way you’re giving me posts but said nothing when I asked one in the future receive back your belt again. ”
Cormier responded in similar manner:
” Cormier composed. “I vow I would never touch with your wife’s flat ass. And that I didn’t respond, I’m not helping your buttocks buttocks fight, you drug abusing steroid cheat. F*ck you! ”
The battle only escalated from there, along with Jones quoting a tweet by a fan mocking Cormier’s complaints to commence a charitable supply to vandalize Cormier to a third fight, and Cormier answering with a supply of his own:
Thanks for the laugh, I needed that night. $150,000 to some charity at Lafayette when he accepts my own challenge. Let’s observe if his IG quits working https://t.co/6LdQW9LfAU

Keep the amount of money, more strict drug testing without any excuses or harms and I’ll give 125,000 into charity at Lafayette and 125,000 to a charity at San Jose. You just pay for the drug testing! #cheater https://t.co/RqtHv1r7Ra

Though Jones and Cormier remain inextricably linked and will apparently be so until the end of time, for now Jones still has to be worried about winning his rematch with Gustafsson, that continues to be scheduled to take place on Saturday, while Cormier, still the reigning heavyweight champion, expects his next fight booking.
