SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Chicago Bears trainer Matt Nagy won’t have to worry over whether to break starters in Week 17.
The likeliest scenario is the fact that the Bears (11-4) enter the postseason since the NFC’s No. 3 seed, however, Chicago has a chance to progress to another seed in case it knocks off Minnesota in the regular season finale and the Rams (12-3) lose to the 49ers.
Both the Bears and Rams play at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday.
“In case we were able where you are able to ’t go at all seed-wise and you were just locked in, I think that’s something [napping starters] that you have to discuss,” Nagy said. “However we’re maybe not in this position. Thus we must play to win, and I kind of enjoy this. I don’t mind this in all, and I think that our guys kind of enjoy it. It only kind of keeps you going if you were fortunate enough to make the journey into the playoffs. It keeps you planning that particular rhythm. ”
Even the Bears are entering uncharted territory for nearly all of these players.
Chicago finished reached the postseason this season.
Back-to-back wins over the Rams and Packers not merely helped the Bears in the standings but also given them the ability to play against a playoff-like backdrop.
The win over bay area was significant in its own right. Say what you would like about the 49ers’ record (4-11), however they play hard to get coach Kyle Shanahan.
“We’re gaining that experience, and we’replaying together at exactly the exact same time,” Trevathan said. “Especially in games like from the 49ers. That they had their backs against the wall, and they came out . They had won two in a row, and for people, it had been a match for people to really take back a step, take a good look in ourselves, take a deep breath and realize we have confidence in that we are. ”
Even the finale against Minnesota will have yet another pleasant atmosphere.
“You know that when you’re at the position that we’rein at the moment, anything could occur to all these other teams,” Nagy said. ’ anything can occur. What you could get a grip on is winning your match as far as you possibly can. If you would like ’t accomplish this, and the other team gets a chance to lose, and they lose, and you didn’t go about it the perfect way, today you just let this slide.
“So we need to go concerning it thing a week like we have every other match. If you would like ’t accomplish it, it affects the way you approach your week emotionally you approach it pre-game. So that’s not what we now ’re likely to really do. ”
