Andrew Luck is getting the best season of his career, casting for 4,308 yards on a career-high 406 completions, for example 3-6 TDs.

INDIANAPOLIS — There’s likely no greater location, contrary to no greater team — and with all the highest stakes — to get Colts quarterback Andrew Luck to finish what’s been the best comeback by any participant in the NFL this season:

Nashville, Tennessee, contrary to the Titans — a team which has never conquered him in a win-and-in match at the final week of the season.

That’s since it was in Week 3 of the 2015 season at the Titans which Luck’s rise from the NFL took a radical turn and the advancement the franchise had made his first three seasons found a stop. It was during that match Luck injured his right shoulder, which started nearly 3 seasons of injuries for the quarter back. He missed 26 of those subsequent 4-5 games.

Everything could come complete circle for Luck and the Colts when they beat the Titans in Week 17 (8:20 p.m. ET Sunday, NBC), as a victory can get Indianapolis straight back in the playoffs for the first time as the 2014 season, which was the last time Luck was completely healthy before to the season. A triumph also will make the Colts only the second team as the re alignment from 2012 to really make the playoffs after a 1-5 start.

“We’ve come a long way,” Colts coach Frank Reich said. “We’ve come a very long way for a team. All these are the matches we didn’t win . But again, just a charge to the direction in the lockerroom and the way they have managed their enterprise and also this constant impression. And then only making plays at the clutch at all phases.”

Not merely were the playoffs around the Colts’ minds that Sunday afternoon in September more than three years back, but they had their sights on a deep run after attaining the AFC Championship Game the prior season.

But Luck’s body shifted on a play which was not likely to happen, in accordance with former Colts quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, at the second quarter from the Titans.

Instead of snapping the ball to find a free play having an offensive lineman get up and point at Casey, the Colts allowed the defensive lineman to get back onside.

“I was livid because they jumped and we did nothing whatsoever. We let them return on-sides, also it was a sofa. That’s exactly what I remember most about any of this. I remember, like, nobody has been playing me… I was getting ready to give Andrew and everybody a hard time, like I told you [in regards to the sack]. It had to occur. That’s kind of a difficult thing to live together with. Just an unnecessary drama “

Luck, his teammates, coaches and also front-office staff had been oblivious how badly the quarter back was injured on that sack. It set a series of injuries that contained hurt ribs and a lacerated kidney. He missed all of the 2017 season while recovering from shoulder surgery.

It was even more challenging to understand the amount of Luck’s shoulder injury which September 2015 day because he didn’t forget a snap from the Titans because match.

Luck played with the ultimate two-plus quarters with an injured shoulder. He was 11-of-13 at the final quarter for 144 yards and two touchdowns. He threw both of his touchdowns at a 59-second period from the fourth quarter to help the Colts come from 13 points down from the victory.

“I didn’t know he hurt his shoulder in that match at the moment,” Hasselbeck said. “He comes home and wins the match for people. I am believing no matter any trauma. I am thinking like he is good. He is good to go. They can not beat he. He was playing superhuman. That’s exactly what I remember out of this. But then, looking back, when he didn’t play for a little while after that, there clearly is just only a little,’Dang, that person is actually challenging.’

“Now, he is playing with an important match there from the Titans, who when I am not mistaken, he is undefeated against [10-0]. At some point, it will become mental, where [the [ Titans] start thinking they can not beat this guy”

Luck has thrown for 4,308 yards on a career-high 406 completions this season, for example 3-6 TDs, and he’s directed toward a career-high conclusion percentage (67.2 percentage through 15 games) in his salvation season. The Colts need one more regular-season victory this weekend in Tennessee to create what has been an extraordinary season a much better person, together with them back from the match.
