Two of the greatest female boxers in the whole world will collide at the co-main event of UFC 232 in Las Vegas on Dec. 2-9, and Nunes’ training partner and fiancee Nina Ansaroff, also a fellow UFC fighter, feels that more than a 2nd belt is online for “The Lioness. ”
Nunes has held that the UFC’s bantamweight winner since a spectacular first-round entry success over Miesha ta te in 20-16. Currently she’ll move up to challenge Cyborg in The Forum.
If victorious at UFC 232, Nunes will not simply be the first women to acquire just two belts in the UFC, however Ansaroff believes Nunes will also confuse herself since the maximum female fighter of all-time.
”Obviously, no doubt about it,&rdquotold MMA Fighting. “There will not be a uncertainty in her being the best female fighter of alltime when she wins in December.
”From the minute that we chose that it would be a good idea, we were only hoping to make it happen,” lasted Ansaroff. “also it’s finally here. They finally decided on a day, and I’m excited for Amanda to show all of the key main reason why she wanted to achieve so. ”
The superfight was in the works for nearly a year today, when Nunes first expressed interest in moving up in weight to challenge that the fellow Brazilian.
Discussing with MMA Struggling in July, Cyborg assaulted the American Top Team star for compelling the date to December. Nunes said to MMA Struggling that she needed additional time and energy to prepare for her first featherweight bout in a few years.
The conversation between fighters lasted on social networking, with fans siding with a single athlete or the other. In the end, Ansaroff sees the entire commotion for a battle not worth fighting.
”I mean, it’so ridiculous,” Ansaroff said, “but you’ll always gonna have those fans or even the casual fans, they don’t even know about the sport, they don’t even know what’therefore associated in taking such a huge fight whenever you’re not 100 per cent or when you have other things to do, so we don’t really care a great deal.
”It doesn’t even bother us . People are gonna say what they have been gont state, you merely choose and pick your own battles. ”
The battle Nunes picked is placed for Dec. 2-9, and Ansaroff foresees “The Lioness” making history once again.
”” I will visit Amanda winning the fight anywhere, to be frank with you,” Ansaroff explained. “She’s very well-rounded, she’s a wonderful striker, she’s a blackbelt in jiujitsu. She’s proved she can visit a decision. I can see her winning the fight anywhere. ”
