FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — ny Jets corner back Trumaine Johnson, the high-priced free broker whose disappointing season struck bottom last week using a costly penalty in an overtime loss, was benched for practice Wednesday as a result of a clear disciplinary matter.

Coach Todd Bowles refused to offer data, calling it”an in house matter that we’re managing.” Even though he made it clear it wasn’t an excused absence, he declined to say whether it had been related to discipline. Johnson was also fined.
