The very first atmosphere from the Lakers locker room had been positive and optimistic after James suffered the injury during the 3rd quarter of a 127-101 win over Golden State on Tuesday. James told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin after the match that”the great thing is the muscle is in tact .”
James said he”overextended” the injury farther when he travelled on defense shortly then. When drama back down the opposite side of this court, James didn’t attempt to follow along with his team mates remained near the Lakers bench. James afterward told the Lakers medical and coaching team he believed”a pop.”
“In my experience, together with injuries, I’m never too concerned about them,” said James, who had a electrical stim device mounted on his hip before the Lakers flew back into Los Angeles on Tuesday night. “I was able to drift on my own power. I felt a pop up and see if I could stretch it a few times and see whether it is going to relieve nonetheless it didn’t.”
James later added he didn’t know if he would miss time due to the accident. “See what the MRI says and watch how I believe for the rest of your day now and I will be all around the clock on rehabbing and we will observe how I feel Thursday once we go to [Sacramento].”
The Lakers (20-14) have to play with a match with no franchise celebrity. James has played in 116 successive regular-season games, one shy of his personal best, along with 156 straight regular-season and postseason games.
“I have a great deal of pride in [staying healthy] so that’s the reason why it pissed me off maybe not being able to go back in the match,” James explained. “It is more than being available for my own teammates, to my coaching team, that’s something I take more personal compared to anything else. Hopefully it is not just a long thing and I will get back on to the floor whenever possible.”
