Minnesota Wild defenseman Matt Dumba will miss three or more months after having surgery to repair a ruptured right pectoralis muscle, and the team announced Wednesday.

Dumba has 12 goals — 2nd among NHL defenseman — and 10 assists this past season.

He was hurt at a 2-1 loss to the Flames on Dec. 15, also had been recorded as out with an at-fault accident.
