The nyc Jets and wide receiver Quincy Enunwa have reached agreement on a multi-year extension, the team announced Friday.

The expansion is for 4 years and worth up to $36 million, sources told ESPN, confirming a Professional Soccer Weekly report. The offer also comprises $20 million ensured, ” a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“I knew if I got here that I wished to be Jet for a very long time,” Enunwa said, according to the Jets. “Today, I will receive my opportunity and it seems really great “

Enunwa was slowed by injuries this year, appearing in only 11 games this season after missing most of last season with a throat injury. He’s been eliminated for Week 17 with a ankle injury.

Despite the limited workload, Enunwa is tied for 2nd on the team with 38 receptions and it has tallied 449 yards and a touchdown.

The Jets have been aggressive in attempting to retain Enunwa. In actuality, they kept a facetoface meeting with his representative in October, starting negotiations.

They recognized Enunwa since their free agent one of the 23 players led to advertise.

“Quincy is an integral portion of our foundation, and we’re thrilled that contract will keep him for a long time in the future,” general director Mike Maccagnan said.

Despite the uncertainty with trainer Todd Bowles’ future, Enunwa never wished to leave.

“Obviously that you wish to remain in precisely the same spot,” Enunwa said in a new interview with ESPN. “You get to a situation like this, where you are at precisely the same spot for five years, and the last point that you want todo is uproot everything you’ve kind of built. That you really don’t know what the issues have been at the next place. You know what I mean?”

ESPN’s Rich Cimini contributed to the record.
