FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — New England Patriots vast receiver Julian Edelman was fined for unnecessary roughness on three unique plays at the team’s 24-12 victory within the Buffalo Bills past Sunday — a rare trifecta which will cost him $63,504.

One of these fines was a consequence of a first quarter play in which he signaled for a reasonable catch on a punt but as an alternative blocked safety Siran Neal, that was the very initial Bills player down the field to pay a punt. Edelman was punished on the play. The other two fines were for prohibited crack-back blocks.

Edelman was fined $26,739 for the identical infraction in the Patriots’ win over the Bills on Oct. 29.

Edelman features a base salary of about $ 2 billion, so he earns $117,647 at each of the season’s 17 weeks, along with having per-game roster bonuses of $31,250.

So he will forfeit about 40 percent of the paycheck for Week 16, pending a possible appeal.

The nyc Jets were 121,925 for various violations in a week’s loss to the Green Bay Packers, headlined by coach Todd Bowles being 25,000 for criticizing the officiating.

Information from ESPN’s Rich Cimini was found within this report.
