PHILADELPHIA — Nick Foles begins at quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles from the NFC Wildcard game at the Chicago Bears, coach Doug Pederson said Monday.

Foles exited with a rib injury in the fourth quarter from the Washington Redskins on Sunday and didn’t return. Tests Monday on his sore ribs came straight back”clear,” Pederson said.

Foles should be able to ease into the week. Pederson has changed the team’s program of late, substituting Wednesday practices having a light walk through to maintain his players fresh. His workload will probably get Thursday.

“We will take good care of him and ensure he is ready for Sunday,” Pederson said.

Nate Sudfeld will server as Foles’ backup as of”right now,” said Pederson, who also offered no upgrades on the status of Carson Wentz, who had been diagnosed with a stress fracture on his back in Week 15.

With this particular week, it appears the Eagles will continue to put on Wentz out and allow him to heal.

He is 92 whilst the Eagles’ rookie throughout the last two seasons, including playoffs.
