The native of Tijuana, Baja , Mexico is working hard to earn a thriving third defense of his title in what will soon be his debut in . Munguia is operating under the expert tutelage of celebrated coach Robert Alcazar, that trained the likes of Oscar De La Hoya, Edwin Valero along with Jessie Vargas. Munguia is training in the Southern area, where he combines a morning run in the hills with an intense session at a personal gym in the day.

Below is the thing Jaime Munguia needed to mention during a recent coaching session:

“We are preparing nicely. I feel better and more motivated than before.
I’m stronger than ever before, and that I shall do my very best to provide the best struggles for those with this new stage, . ”

“I’ve worked tirelessly to be in the principal events like this. I believe for me this is just the beginning. I want to make history. I was happy to function as co-main event of Canelo vs. g gg 2, and now that I’m headlining this celebration I am more motivated. ”

He comes forward. He doesn’t mind taking a punch in order to land . All of us have to be careful with this and come very well prepared. We’will come very well prepared on Jan. 26. ”

“Following this struggle, it seems as though that I shall have a WBO required fight against Dennis Hogan. But I’d still want to combine the names at 154 pounds with one other champions. We’ll resolve such a thing that is put infront of us. ”

“The aim is to move up to 160 pounds in roughly a yr. We’r e fine making weight today. I have no issues, however I feel I will move up and struggle other branches. My own body is such that I might even go up to 168 pounds. ”

Munguia on Another fighters in his branch:

“I thought the struggle was a draw [regarding Jermell Charlo vs. Tony Harrison]. Charlo must have assaulted more and not wait as much. That’s my opinion of this struggle. Tony Harrison is a good fighter. He’so tough and has good skills. When he is placed infront of us-or anyone for this matter-we will have to get the job done. ”

“[Jarrett] Hurd is quite a big 154-pounder. I believe he’s bigger than me. If a struggle is presented to me, why don’t? We can unify the tittles or match in 160 pounds. ”

“I don’t know exactly what to say about the political situation because we’re on various platforms. We’ll see if a struggle against them is able to happen. Perhaps not this season, but maybe we can meet with them at 160 pounds.

“I’t heard the things that they ’t said about me. Maybe they don’t honor me think I’m too young. Theyrsquo;t said a whole lot. I can make them honor me on the afternoon that they step in the ring . ”

Munguia onto a potential struggle against Canelo:

“I don’t think there’s a pressure with being mentioned with names like Canelo and Golovkin. I like this. It’so fun. I’m so happy to be in conflicts like this and also to see we are progressing. So, the simple truth is we have been happy.

“I am aware of what I am carrying out. I believe I will move up to 160 pounds and struggle some one of the 2. It’S-A risk because there will be risks. All these are the 2 best fighters on the planet. We’d have to be very careful and come very well prepared. I don’t think it would happen soon, thus we have to find out exactly what the future holds for people. ”
