Castleford’s Joe Wardle has re joined Huddersfield – with Giants’ Jordan Rankin moving in the other way.
The Yorkshire rivals have agreed that loan swap between the two players but both Super League clubs have been keen to help make the movements permanent.
Scotland international Wardle, 27, scored 62 attempts within his previous last-minute stick to Giants between 201116.
Australian Rankin, also 27, joined Huddersfield in 2017, having previously played in the Super League to get Hull FC.
Huddersfield Giants leader Richard Thewlis said”The movement came very quickly over the previous 2-4 hours and we’ll be delighted to create Joe back”
Castleford Tigers’ director of rugby Jon Wells added:”Jordan is a player that I have admired for a couple of years now and we’d be delighted to welcome him to the Tigers.”
England halfback Gale suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in practice last weekend and it has now had operation.
“salary-cap relief continues to be granted to the team and we’d like to thank the r-fl for dealing with us on this matter,” explained Wells.
