The UFC has seen an opponent for Glover Teixeira on short notice.
Officials announced Friday the Karl Roberson has agreed to step in for an injured Ion Cutelaba to battle Teixeira at a light heavyweight bout on Jan. 19. The news was reported by FloCombat shortly afterwards Cutelaba confirmed his withdrawal against the UFC ‘s ESPN+ introduction next Saturday, that’ll take place in Barclays Center at Brooklyn.
Roberson (7-1) last fought at UFC 230 at November, defeating Jack Marshman via unanimous decision to secure his second struggle in three Octagon looks, all at middleweight. “Baby K” surfaced together with the promotion in November 2017 after a 15-second KO of Ryan Spann on earned him a UFC contract.
