A Women’s Championship match between Pioneers Manchester United and Charlton has been abandoned following an injury into Addicks player Charlotte Kerr.
Winger Kerr was involved in a collision as Charlie Devlin scored to put United 1-0 through to 11 minutes at The oak wood.
After a delay of nearly an hour or so – during which both teams were sent back with their changing rooms – the match was called off by the referee.
Kerr received extensive treatment to the pitch and an ambulance was called.
Charlton Women’s Twitter account said:“The referee has chosen to abandon the match because of medical reasons.
“We’ll bring you news on Charlotte’s condition after we have more information.”
