England coach Eddie Jones has stoked his rivalry with Ireland by asserting again that fly-half Jonny Sexton gets preferential treatment from referees.
“Sexton has the bat phone into the referee.
“That is due to his status within the match – you earn that, such as [former New Zealand captain] Richie McCaw did.”
England trainer Jones said in November his or her own number 10 Owen Farrell failed to obtain exactly the identical protection as Sexton.
The Australian was also criticised for comments he made before the teams’ 2016 Six Nations meeting in he maintained that Sexton’s”mother and daddy would be worried” about injuries he picked up at a brutal match against France a week or two before.
England play Ireland at the teams’ opening of this year’s Six Nations match at Dublin on 2 February.
Saracens’ Farrell,” an integral portion of England’s team, is just a slight injury concern for its match because he is scheduled to have minor surgery on a principle criticism. His team have said they expect him back in action in”seven to 10 days”.
