HOUSTON — The Houston Astros announced their 20-19 non-roster invites to Major League Spring Training now, which includes 11 pitchers, three catchers, six infielders and two outfielders to get a total of 22 players. The statement was created by Astros President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Jeff Luhnow.

Bukauskas, OF Ronnie Dawson, IF A Lex D E Goti, LHP Kent Emanuel, RHP Ryan Hartman, RHP Jose Luis Hernandez, IF Taylor Jones, RHP Corbin Martin, IF Jack Mayfield, RHP Brendan McCurry, RHP Erasmo Pinales, C Lorenzo Quintana, C Jamie Ritchie, C Chuckie Robinson, IF Josh Rojas, RHP Cy Sneed, IF Nick Tanielu, IF Abraham Toro along with RHP Forrest Whitley.
Alvarez, 2-1, hit .293 (98×335) with 21 doubles, 20 home runs and 74 RBI in 88 games united between Triple A Fresno (45g) and Double Much Corpus Christi (43g) at 2018. Recognized a top 100 prospect in Baseball, the native Cuban played with the World Team from the 2018 Futures Game and presently checks in as the No. 3 prospect in the Astros system, a Baseball America. The left wing hitting outfielder played primarily left field at 2018, making 63 starts at the spot, but also emerged in five games at first base. The 20-19 season will soon probably be his fourth with an Astros after becoming acquired via trade from the Dodgers in exchange for RHP Josh Fields on Aug. 1, 20-16.

He was originally signed up as a global free agent from the Dominican Republic on May 15, 2013.
Quintana, 2-9, hit .254 (62×244) with 19 doubles, 11 home runs and 42 RBI in 70 games with Corpus Christi last season. Even the 2018 season was his first stateside effort after playing seven seasons (2008-15) at Cuba’s Serie Nacional. He was signed by Houston being a global free agent on Oct. 5, 2017.

A native of Longueuil, Canada, Toro was chosen by the Astros at the fifth round of the 20-16 draft outside of Seminole State JC.
Whitley, 2-1, passes this season as the Astros consensus top potential and whilst the top right-handed pitching potential in Major League Baseball, per MLB.com.
