Skupski, 2-9, and Spaniard martinez-sanchez, 3-6, lost 6-0 64 into Czech Barbora Krejcikova along with USA’s Rajeev Ram, the next seeds, in 1 hour and half an hour.
This was the Liverpudlian’s first Grand Slam semi-final.
Skupski and Martinez Sanchez had conquered top seeds Mate Pavic and Gabriela Dabrowski at the quarter-finals.
