A martial arts veteran suspected of murder, cedric Marks, escaped a private prison transfer van on Sunday morning, but was recaptured later in the day. The episode took place.
The 44-year-old fighter has been detained by U.S. Marshalls in Grand Rapids, Mich., on a complaint of burglary with the intent to commit another offense, in accordance with ABC News. He was being extradited into Bell County, Texas, where he’s warrants for his arrest for the deaths of Jenna Scott and Michael Swearingin. Scott and Swearingin were reported missing on Jan. 9 and their bodies were available on Jan. 15 in Oklahoma.
Scott was apparently Marks’ ex-girlfriend. She’d filed a protective order against him according to the ABC News report.
The burglary charge that Marks was detained in Michigan was related to Scott.
Marks can be a suspect in the case of April Pease, that went missing in 2009 during a custody coNFLict with Marks over their little one.
Marks escaped the prison transport van Sunday as it stopped at a McDonald’s to Bell County. He was found hiding in a trash can outside a house in the Conroe area.
