Rangers striker Jermain Defoe will not face disciplinary action for falling under Paul McGinn’s battle to get a punishment from St Mirren.

The episode was analyzed by the compliance officer of the FA.

However, there is believed to be insufficient evidence to bill that the former England forward.

Earlier in the day on Tuesday, Rangers boss accused Kilmarnock counterpart of”wanting to get” Defoe, 3 6, banned.

The Park supervisor had compared the episode to one that winger Jordan Jones received a retrospective two-match ban.

The punishment has been one of four granted to Rangers by referee Andrew Dallas inside their 4-0 victory within the Paisley side.
