DALLAS — Harrison Barnes watched the fourth quarter of the Dallas Mavericks99-93 win on the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday from the bench after Hearing that he Had Been being traded to the Sacramento Kings.

This trade’s official announcement came after the match, but the news of this agreement dropped early in the fourth quarter of the Mavs’ win. Barnes, who scored 10 points decided to stay on the seat and support his team mates.

Barnes’ agent, Jeff Schwartz, told ’s Barnes knew that something was in the works with Sacramento and that he and the Mavericks worked on a trade. The timing was agreed upon during the match, according to Schwartz, and Barnes wanted to play with.

“He’s a better man than me, without a doubt,” explained Dirk Nowitzki, the longtime head of this Mavs who frequently raved about Barnes’ character and work ethic. “Everybody else would have bounced. He’s just a dude. He has obviously got bonds with some of these players here for life, which is the sort of guy that he is.”

“So let me guess that this is cool reason that they had to do what is best for your franchise right??? ,” he wrote. “Traded this man while he had been literally playing at the match and had ZERO idea. I’m not knocking who exchanged him because it’s a business and you need to complete exactly what you feel what’s best but I simply need this story to start to get REAL/CHANGE and maybe never if a player wants to be exchanged or leaves a Franchise that he’s a selfish/ungrateful player but once they trade you, discharge, waive, cut etc etc it’s best for them! I’m ok with both frankly, am.

The post was liked by Anthony Davis, who is at the middle of trade talks for almost two weeks since he asked to be dealt with the Pelicans.

The Barnes deal came on the eve of their trade deadline and also a week later Dallas’ blockbuster with all the New York Knicks to acquire Kristaps Porzingis. Rookie star Luka Doncic could be your only regular Mavs starter made following the 2 deals.
