The 51-year-old was the only candidate and has been elected unopposed at the Congress by delegates from the 55 member institutions at Rome.

The lawyer that was Slovenian took over back from predecessor Michel Platini.

The Frenchman resigned after getting banned by Fifa over integrity breaches.
