MUNICH — Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has blasted Didi Hamann’s recent criticism of Robert Lewandowski accusing the former Liverpool and Bayern midfielder of”creating a effort” against the German champions top scorer.
Lewandowski notched his 13th Bundesliga goal of this season on Saturday whilst the German winners cut Borussia Dortmund’s lead at the top to five points with a cozy 3-1 triumph over Schalke, making the most of BVB letting a three-goal advantage slip in the final 20 minutes in a stunning 3-3 draw against Hoffenheim earlier on Saturday.
Subsequent to the match in Munich, Salihamidzic supported his striker whilst continuing Hamann’s criticism.
“I believe he is making a campaign against him [Lewandowski] because I really don’t believe he can really watch the matches,” Salihamidzic informed Sky Germany
“I believe it’s a effort. I do not believe Robert Lewandowski can be a problem for Bayern, Didi Hamann can be really a problem for Sky.
“I have to commend Robert’s performance now, he is playing like an authentic leader. Hecan be now our top scorer and’s having the season with us , getting involved in drama. And so, I can’t understand why Didi Hamann criticised him like that.”
The Dortmund striker also captained Bayern for first time in midweek, playing a vital role as Bayern beat Hertha Berlin 3-2 after extra time to reach at the dfbpokal quarterfinals.
