Jo-Wilfried Tsonga acquired his first ATP title beating against Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert 64 6-2 to secure at the Open Sud de France.

Herbert, the seed, was aiming to get his first ATP singles title, but four points only dropped on his role.

The 33-year-old was just in Montpellier courtesy of a wildcard.

His last success was in Antwerp in October 2017.

Elsewhere, Britain’s Cameron Norrie dropped in the last qualifying round to the Argentina Open in Buenos Aires to Rogerio Dutra da Silva.

In the Sofia Open final seed Daniil Medvedev of Russia beat Hungarian Marton Fucsovics 64 6-3.
