The judges scores were 115-113, 116-112 for Ramirez, and 114-114. Boxing News 2 4 believed it a draw in 114-114. The judge believed it 116-112 [8 rounds ] to get Ramirez appeared to be watching a struggle than one that took place inside the ring tonight.

Ramirez landed 149 of all 601 shots. Zepeda associate percentage.

Ramirez was becoming out-boxed through the majority of the initial half an hour. After Zepeda gassed put 26, ramirez, came on strong in the next half of the competition. Ramirez struggled with the straightforward boxing skills of Zepeda, that was obviously the ring technician of their 2. The looked to be tipped in Ramirez’with all the judges giving him rounds that he appeared to lose s favor. It may be that the significant audience at the Save Mart Arena might have had an effect as the scores didn&rsquo.

Ramirez put a great deal of pressure on Zepeda and throwing punches that were missing and/or blocked. Ramirez walked all through the struggle into lots of shots. He had been which makes he came in, it effortless for Zepeda to label him.

Zepeda did a good job of out-boxing Ramirez. It was always going to be demanding for Zepeda to make a decision with him fighting in Ramirez&rsquo. Zepeda is ranked low by the World Boxing Council. That had to have hurt his own odds of winning a decision.

It was not just a good operation by Ramirez, that looked very beatable against a bottom feeder in the 140 lb division. Ramirez and promoters at Top Rank need to think of exactly what leadership they is able to go in, right as he’s forced to defend his WBC title against Regis Prograis or even Josh Taylor, it’s likely going to be the conclusion of his title reign. In taking part in the World Boxing Super Series light welterweight tournament prograis arguably made an error. Had Prograis maybe not connected up with this particular tourney, he defeated him, and would have fought Ramirez by today. It would have been a better bargain for Prograis to have won the WBC belt ages past rather than spinning his wheels in the WBSS championship, and waiting for ages because of his battles rather than knowing what’s going to happen with this particular tourney. They can find a direct title, if Ramirez moves as much as 147 taken against fellow Best Rank fighter World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Terence Crawford. At the very least rsquo & that;ll be quite a very good payday for Ramirez. It & rsquo; s improbable Ramirez will be at Crawford, but the cover check will likely be useful, and more likely than what he losing to them and or even rsquo; ll get in protecting his WBC title. Ramirez has a wonderful story behind himbut he’s a fighter, that clearly has almost no time as the WBC champion. Once the WBSS is over with, he & rsquo; s not going to be able to milk his title for too much longer.
