The nyc Knicks used a picture of rookie centre Mitchell Robinson playing along with Golden State‘s Kevin Durant in a pitch to season-ticket holders, then later deleted the film to prevent the perception that the company had an ulterior motive in adding Durant, a 2019 free representative at the pitch.
“Game action photos are used all of the time for marketing reasons, but given what going on, we took the precaution of taking the photo down,” that the Knicks said in a statement Sunday nighttime. “To be more clear, it had been one of the rotating photos on the website.”
From opposing teams it is not unheard of for teams to work with celebrities. Even the Knicks, however, have been linked to Durant, a two time NBA Finals MVP, in free service. So a stir was caused by that the association each time a Knicks season-ticket holder described the photo in a social networking post.

The photo had been part of a pitch to season-ticket holders to rekindle their packages. It comprised a link to”learn more” about renewal information. The deadline for season-ticket renewals is later this month and the Knicks (10-45) have tied a single-season franchise record with 16 consecutive reductions.
Nyc expects to be able to turn things round immediately, though, beginning with the offseason.
The Knicks will have a selection from the 2019 NBA Draft and project to have about $70 million in cap space this summer.
