Kyler Murray has tweeted that he is”fully committing my life and time to become an NFL quarterback,” answering the question of whether he’ll choose baseball or football.
The reigning Heisman Trophy winner submitted an announcement on his Twitter account Monday, four days before he had been scheduled to report to spring practice with the Oakland Athletics.
Murray did not cite baseball or perhaps even the A within his statement.
“dancing, I’m ardently and fully committing my life and time to become an NFL quarterback,” Murray wrote. “Football is my passion and love my whole life. I was increased to play with QB, and I really look forward to winning NFL championships and devoting 100% of myself into being the very best QB possible. I have begun an extensive training program for upcoming NFL workouts and interviews to prepare yourself. I eagerly await the opportunity to keep to persuade NFL decision makers that I am the franchise QB in this draft.”
Murray was selected ninth overall past June and agreed to a minor league contract that included a $4.66 million signing bonus.
No player has ever been a 1st-round pick in NFL and MLB drafts, according to Elias Sports.
